Beyoncé Goes Casual in New York City

From the red carpet to the stage, Beyoncé always makes glamour her top priority. The superstar frequently opts for statement heels from Jimmy Choo, Fendi and Dior to pair with her designer gowns and mini-dresses.

She’s a well-known fan of Giuseppe Zanotti as well — and the admiration goes both ways. “I love a lot of celebrities, especially from the music world: Beyoncé, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Alicia Keys and Kanye West,” Zanotti recently told FN Spy. “They are style icons and have great talent. Their music entwines with art and entertainment, so they can be inspirational for a designer.”

Along with Taylor Swift, Beyoncé often chooses Stuart Weitzman when performing on stage. On the streets of  New York City this week, though, Beyoncé was snapped in toned-down footwear, including a pair of snakeskin-print Converse sneakers that she paired with skinny jeans and a white tee.

Still, it seems she couldn’t go too long without throwing on a pair of heels. On Tuesday, Beyoncé effortlessly added a pair of Manolo Blahnik Chaos leather ankle-chain sandals to her denim cut-off shorts, a camel high-neck top and a long white vest. The shoes boast an adjustable chain ankle strap with a dagger-esque closure. They retail for $845.

Beyoncé also seems to have influence outside of the fashion realm. This week, architecture firm Elenberg Fraser announced plans for its new Premier Tower in Melbourne, Australia, which it says is inspired by Beyoncé’s famous curves. The firm cites the music video for her song “Ghost” as its model.
