Jockey International, Kenosha, Wisc., has announced the upcoming launch of a men’s and women’s casual footwear collection, a new licensed category for the iconic brand. It is partnering with Eastman Group, New York, to design, manufacture and market casual footwear, slippers, flip flops and athleisure looks for distribution in the United States for men and women. The collection is set to soft launch for spring ’16, followed by a full collection for fall ’16.
“We have found an ideal match with the Eastman Group, which has extensive knowledge of the footwear industry to pair with Jockey’s expertise in textile technology and comfort features,” said Milou Gwyn, VP of licensing for Jockey. “This seamless integration of quality, cross-functional and technology-driven footwear falls perfectly in line with Jockey’s commitment to deliver innovative products.”
The footwear collection will include slippers, seasonal sandals such as flip flops and lightweight yoga-inspired casuals. The line will also incorporate some of Jockey’s technical fabrics and technologies that include materials that regulate temperature as well as feature moisture-wicking and anti-microbial properties.

According to Eastman Group, distribution will follow Jockey’s current channels that focused on department stores. Retail prices range from $20 to $50, with delivery slated for August.
