Canadian footwear brand Aldo and lifestyle retailer Joe Fresh have signed a global licensing agreement for footwear under the Joe Fresh label for spring ’16. Currently, Joe Fresh’s footwear is produced in-house.
According to a release from Toronto-based Loblaw Companies Limited anad its affiliates, owners of Joe Fresh, the license with Aldo Group is for the design, production and distribution of men’s, women’s and kids’ footwear collections.
The initiative is meant to accelerate growth of the Joe Fresh footwear business in its freestanding stores, grocery locations, e-commerce sites and wholesale and international businesses. Joe Fresh shops within top Loblaw locations will undergo a large-scale redesign and renovation later this year and will launch newly dedicated zones for footwear.
