This is not a drill: Bugs Bunny and Michael Jordan are getting back together.
While Nike hasn’t talked many specifics, a press release today said the reboot would include footwear and apparel, as well as your favorite original and new styles.
Even better news might be the return of the Hare Jordan campaign, which landed at the top of our all-time favorite Super Bowl ads last month.
The original sneakers, which debuted in 1992, took a playful nod from “wascally wabbit” — a mix of gray and white, with red details and a red sole.
The partnership between Looney Tunes and Michael Jordan was perhaps best recognized in the 1990s animated film “Space Jam.”
It’s not the first reboot of the Hare Jordans, which had a brief relaunch in 2008 as part of the “Jordan 7” 23rd anniversary. But this time around, we think fans should definitely expect something big for the Air Jordan brand anniversary.
We just hope the launch includes those cool Marvin the Martian sneakers too.
