Have you ever put on a pair of pumps and wished they were a different color? A new company, Volvorii Timeless, hopes to address that fashion problem with an app.
The chameleon kicks are made with leather, rubber, a circuit board and battery components. There’s also a digital panel that runs from the top of the shoes to the pump, which is controlled by the app.
The style comes in black or white, with a heel height of either 3.5 inches or 4.5 inches. According to an interview in Entrepreneur, there is even an option inspired by the Louis Vuitton print.
The shoes retail for $249 and are expected to arrive in stores by yearend.
Wondering how the gadget charges? There’s a USB wireless device for that.
The idea comes from startup iShuu Tech, with a technology scientist, Wallen Mphepo, behind the research. On March 12,Volvorii Timeless debuted a campaign on Indiegogo to fund the product and have raised $25,974 so far.
