Sam Edelman is officially a resident of Garden State Plaza mall.
The designer opened a 2,100-sq.-ft. space on Wednesday in New Jersey’s largest shopping destination. The store is located in the newly opened Fashion District wing of the mall.
The shop, designed by Dagnell Folger of Architecture + Information, stays true to the Sam Edelman aesthetic. It features a mix of materials, including reclaimed wood and raw concrete with rose-colored brass and black leather. Hints of the brand’s signature shade of green provide a pop of color, and vintage furniture pieces — curated by the designer himself — are mixed throughout for a personal touch.
A full lifestyle assortment, including shoes, handbags, jewelry and apparel, is displayed via custom-designed fixtures. There is also a dedicated section for the Circus by Sam Edelman brand.
“We are thrilled to expand our East Coast retail presence, and Garden State Plaza is the perfect location,” said Sam Edelman, designer, founder and division president for the Sam Edelman division of Caleres.
The Sam Edelman brand, one of the fastest-growing at Caleres, has been steadily expanding its retail presence.
The designer’s Spring Street store in New York’s busy Soho neighborhood, debuted in 2012. In fall 2014, Edelman opened a West Coast flagship in Beverly Hills.
