Net-a-Porter Opens Social Shopping App To The Public

Net-a-Porter.com is bringing its social shopping network, The Net Set, to an expanded audience.

The app was previously accessible by invite only, but now it will be available to anyone to download. The Net Set, which is fully shoppable, allows luxury brands to engage in dialogue with Net-a-Porter’s consumers.

“We’re thrilled to be opening the doors of The Net Set to the public and to be moving fully out of beta. Over the past few months, we’ve listened to our members’ feedback and been able to further develop and finesse our core features of the app to ensure that we are coming out with the best and most intuitive product possible. We have seen trending products sell out in minutes, be reordered by our buyers, then sell out again,” said Sarah Watson, VP of social commerce for Net-a-Porter.

To celebrate the public launch, Poppy Delevingne, Laura Bailey, Nicole Warne, Julia Restoin Roitfeld and Chloe Norgaard are all sharing their style secrets on the app.

“Since launch, we have been incredibly inspired by the content that the community is sharing — it really is an all-encompassing experience into the world of style and luxury shopping,” said Alexandra Hoffnung, creative director for social commerce at Net-a-Porter. “We are so excited to open the app up to the world and see how it continues to develop on a larger scale.”
