Tod’s has released its advertising campaign for fall ’15 for both men and women. The collection certainly doesn’t lack the luxury-meets-sport aesthetic the label has been known for since its inception in 1920.
The Italy-based company mixed sporting style with tougher biker-esque metal details and sturdy leather stitching. Tod’s signature Gommino driving moccasins have been reimagined for women in lavender, taupe, and turquoise patent leathers with fringe and gold metal hardware.
Tod’s also showed several pairs of boots it will have on offer. The heeled ankle boot is made from polished calfskin and features contrasting soles for a durable look.
The campaign was shot at a private home in Milan by Michelangelo Di Battista. Tod’s Women’s Creative Director Alessandra Facchinetti expressed her excitement about the upcoming collection, geared towards what she describes as a contemporary woman with a young attitude.
“It perfectly reflects the evolution of the brand towards the new fresh and crossing urban style,” she said.
On the men’s side, the collection touches on both formal and sporty silhouettes. The campaign features the Gommino, sneakers, and loafers shown with both dressy and casual looks. The label presented a man-on-the-go wearing both Gommino moccasins and a unique double monk-strap dress shoe-meets-sneaker. In addition to the footwear, Tod’s also presented its growing assortment of accessories and ready-to-wear. Tod’s last campaign was shot by Scott Schuman of The Sartorialist.
