In advance of its spring ’15 campaign release, Skechers USA, Inc. has unveiled a behind-the-scenes preview of its Ringo Starr ads.
Starr is the new face of Skechers Relaxed Fit footwear. The print, digital and broadcast campaign will debut in the coming weeks and highlight Starr’s cool, laid-back style.
“I’m still a working musician, I’m still on tour, I’ve done commercials. I saw lots of ads for Skechers that were really bright, young and fresh,” said Starr in a statement.
“I’ve always enjoyed those commercials, and now I’m enjoying the shoes! I love to be relaxed, and I’m wearing the shoes because they’re comfortable,” he added.
Starr’s new album, “Postcards From Paradise,” is set to debut March 31. Tour dates with his “All Starr” band have been announced for February and March across the U.S. and Latin America, including Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Brazil, Chile and Mexico.
What happens when you bring together top supermodels from decades past with hot young men? A whole lot of Miami heat.
Bruce Weber’s just-released campaign for Barneys stars a host of iconic women from the past four decades, including Christie Brinkley, Brooke Shields, Stephanie Seymour Brant, Pat Cleveland, Veronica Webb, Kirsten Owen, Elaine Irwin, Kiara Kabukuru, Bethann Hardison, and Susanne Bartsch.
The ads, the third in a series of collaborations between Weber and Barneys, celebrate the women in a dreamy, fantasy landscape in Miami. The stars range in age from their late 30s to mid-60s.
“Never in a million years has a 20-year-old model walked into a room and had the same effect these women do,” Barneys Creative Director Dennis Freedman said in a statement.
Christie Brinkley hit Instagram to share one of her favorite moments from the campaign. For more, check out Barneys’ blog.
