Out and About With the Footwear Industry

Shoes for a Cause
FFANY/QVC Shoes on Sale Gala, Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2014

QVC Presents “FFANY Shoes on Sale” set another record this year, pushing total fundraising dollars to support breast cancer research initiatives past the $45 million mark. The annual gala took place at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in midtown Manhattan — and the industry turned out in full force to support the cause and award winners. Josh Schulman and Linda Fargo were on hand to represent Bergdorf Goodman, which took home the Retailer of the Year Award. Designer of the Year went to Gianvito Rossi, who brought Nina García along to celebrate. The biggest moment of the night came when longtime FFANY president Joe Moore received the Jodi Fisher Humanitarian Award. QVC also surprised Moore, who is retiring, with a Q Star Legacy honor for his years of philanthropic work. “I didn’t write a speech,” Moore joked. “Thank you very much. And let’s make this event even better, because we can always do better.”
