Celebrities and fashion stars converged on the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday for the annual Costume Institute gala. Gathering for this year’s theme, “Charles James: Beyond Fashion,” guests stepped out in standout shoes.
Marion Cotillard tops Footwear News’ ranking with studded, square-toe stunners by Dior, with Lupita Nyong’o in a close second in her green-hued number by Prada. Emma Stone stood out in a Miu Miu metallic strappy stiletto, alongside boyfriend Andrew Garfield in Christian Louboutin.
Anne Hathaway wowed in Rebel pumps by Gianvito Rossi, while Rita Ora donned Casadei custom ribbon-laced booties. For the men, Bradley Cooper stood out in Tom Ford. Meanwhile, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley walked the red carpet in a caged bootie by Balmain, and power couple Kim Kardashian and Kanye West both chose designs by Lanvin.
Rounding out the list is Solange Knowles showing off an ankle strap by Stuart Weitzman, and Cara Delevingne wowed in Stella McCartney pumps featuring a white lug sole.
