London-based designer Alice Temperley debuted her new capsule collection of sneakers on the runway during London Fashion Week.
“I love flat shoes, not just for work but also to give evening looks a relaxed attitude,” said Temperley, who was sporting them herself at Sunday’s show. “The trainers work perfectly with the direction for this collection, which is fresh and effortless.”
A departure from her signature dressed-up approach, the low-top court laceup was paired with every look — from pantsuits to day dresses — from her spring ’15 Temperley London collection. Seven different footwear print varieties (from hand-painted shells to embossed stains and geometric graphics) picked up on the patterns and textiles from the ready-to-wear. Prices will start at $429 for the Italian-made sneakers.
