Ugg is expanding its celebrity line-up for its popular “This is Ugg” campaign with the debut of Chrissy Teigen and Jack Guinness. The supermodel and the DJ have been tapped as the faces of Ugg’s winter 2015 marketing campaign, slated to run from December 26 through February 1.
The multimedia, cross-channel campaign leverages a storytelling platform to illustrate how Ugg “Feels Like Nothing Else.” The campaign follows a narrative of meaningful moments for Teigen and Guinness as they explore the pristine, snow-capped mountain peaks of Iceland.
According to brand President Connie Rishwain, the company chose the two celebrities to bring attention to its offering of fashion-driven weatherproof designs. “The Ugg brand has demonstrated steady success in expanding its offering and developing strong product throughout the year, including recent transitional footwear, as well as high-fashion styles that incorporate high-tech weather features,” said Rishwain in a company statement.
Teigen shows her most natural side, indulging in her interest in unique food and beauty. In an exclusive Youtube.com video, “Soul Food,” she reflects on slowing down to appreciate life’s small moments.
Notes Teigen in the video, “Life goes by so quickly, so it is really important to create time and space for yourself. Sometimes you have to think of your surroundings and how blessed you are…”
With Guinness, the campaign takes a peek at the the DJ’s private pursuits. One of his favorite pastimes is getting lost for hours in obscure record stores or finding unique sounds for his sessions. Before departing for Iceland, Guinness relayed his excitement about the campaign in “On the Rocks,” also on Youtube.com.
Said Guinness, “Iceland is a sublime place. There’s something so romantic and unique about Iceland; it’s rugged and magical. I want to meet people, listen to the music that’s popular there, and learn about the culture.”
