Elton John wasn’t the only star who said “I do” over the weekend. Former ‘N Sync member Lance Bass married artist Michael Turchin on Saturday night at the Park Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles. For the ceremony, attended by 300 guests, the grooms donned patent leather shoes and custom black tuxedos that they designed in collaboration with stylist Jeff Kim and J. Yunger’s Josh Yunger. They changed into velvet tuxes — Bass’ hunter green, Turchin’s blue and black — for the reception.
Though Bass’ former bandmate Justin Timberlake was a no-show (he’s currently on tour), the rest of the ‘N Sync crew reunited to help celebrate their friend’s big night. Joey Fatone — who paired slip-on sneakers with his suit — served as ring bearer, while JC Chasez serenaded the couple during their first dance. Other celebrity guests included Lisa Vanderpump, Cheryl Burke, Jamie-Lynn Sigler and rival-boy-band-of-the-’90s Backstreet Boys’ AJ McLean, who accessorized his head-turning red tuxedo with a pair of glittery gold oxfords.
Fans will get a behind-the-scenes look at the festivities when Bass’ wedding is televised as part of an E! special, “Lance Loves Michael: The Lance Bass Wedding,” slated to air on Feb. 5.
