In Her Shoes: SoulCycle’s Stacey Griffith’s Go-To Kicks This Week

With the holidays fast approaching and the ideas for last-minute gifts running low, FN columnist Stacey Griffith is here to save the day. Griffith, a senior master instructor at SoulCycle, details her love for her Brunello Cucinelli sneakers below, which would easily win any women’s heart:

“This week I can’t help but feature my go-to, snazzy, jazzy, chic, beyond-words Brunello Cucinelli women’s Monili beaded sneakers.

“This sneaker is a piece of foot art. Let’s begin with the cashmere laces, which rest on top of the sexiest leather tongue to ever grace a sneak. It’s a piece of leather that you could actually make a coin purse out of (I’ve seriously thought about having a zipper put down the middle of it, as it’s big enough to hold a credit card or two). On the top of the tongue is the Brunello Cucinelli name, embossed to remind you that you are now living the life of the thousand-dollar sneaker.

“The toe box, which is the first part of any kick that grabs my attention, is hand-beaded in Italy. The sides of the shoe also have a subtle flower image that resembles an early, muted Henri Matisse painting, which is wrapped around a suede detail that just frames the shoe perfectly.”
