Stuart Weitzman is expanding further into the Asian market.
The New York-based women’s footwear label opened an international flagship in Hong Kong’s IFC Mall this week. The location marks the label’s second concept store designed by famed architect Zaha Hadid. The first Hadid-designed boutique debuted in Milan in September.
The stores feature a futuristic, streamlined interior with modular display units and glass facades. “The collaboration continues to be a major company retail initiative to strenghten our presence in Asia and expansion worldwide,” Executive Chairman Stuart Weitzman said in a statement. “The IFC Mall location is the perfect global platform to offer the uniqueness of Zaha Hadid’s design as a showcase for [the label].”
Stuart Weitzman plans to bow additional global stores over the next three years, with an emphasis on Asia. Lcoations are slated for Korea, Taiwan, Asia, Australia, the Middle East and the Philippines.
