Pazolini Heads West
Carlo Pazolini plans to open a shop at upscale mall The Beverly Center in Los Angeles on June 1. The brand’s location joins a lineup of top-tier tenants such as Prada, Bloomingdale’s and Stuart Weitzman. The 1,460-sq.-ft store will feature both men’s and women’s styles. Retail prices range from $175 to $450. In addition to the new location, the brand has 14 other stores across the country.
Yellow Box Opens Up
Yellow Box is venturing into retail. The brand has partnered with DSW’s Affiliated Business Group to debut three to four new doors in the U.S. market this year. “ABG’s expertise in footwear specialty retail will provide a unique consumer experience that brings our brand alive through branded retail stores,” said Terry Chen, founder and president of Yellow Box. ABG will design and operate the locations.
Welcome to WP Lavori
Bologna, Italy-based fashion firm WP Lavori in Corso has landed stateside. The company, which owns the licenses for Woolrich John Rich & Bros. and BD Baggies, and which has 24 stores worldwide, opened its U.S. flagship in the Cobble Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn, N.Y. In addition to the licensed brands, the store will stock other select labels in its 1,700-sq.-ft. space. “We have always honored craftsmanship, tradition and history, and we are thrilled to be opening our first North American flagship in Brooklyn, a community that also reflects these values,” Cristina Calori, founder and president of the firm, said in a statement.

Race Time for City Sports
City Sports is gearing up for the Boston Marathon. This year, the company plans to open a pop-up shop at the John Hancock Sports & Fitness Expo and Boston Marathon Bib Number Pick-Up. The store will include Boston-specific merchandise and footwear from sponsor brands, including Oofos sandals. Additionally, athletes will be on hand for special appearances. The expo runs April 18-20 at the John B. Hynes Convention Center in Boston.
Luichiny Plants a Flagship
Women’s brand Luichiny will open a store in Florence, Italy, on April 5. Owned by Demand Shoes LLC, the shop will feature the label’s complete collection of shoes and boots. The new space spans 800 square feet and is located in a historic district next to Piazza della Repubblica.
