The Row Hits Los Angeles
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen will bow a flagship store for The Row on Tuesday at Melrose Place in Los Angeles. The new location spans around 3,800 square feet and marks the first flagship location for the label.
Louboutin Heads to San Francisco
Red soles have arrived in San Francisco. Designer Christian Louboutin will debut a boutique in the city’s Union Square shopping area this week. The 1,650-sq.-ft. store, at 29 Maiden Lane, is a new concept for the designer and was designed specifically to reflect the neighborhood and characteristics of San Francisco. The space, created by New York-based firm 212Box, features a reclaimed tin-mosaic wall and separate men’s and women’s shopping lounges. The store is the label’s sixth West Coast shop.
Menswear Turns a Page
Esquire magazine and Esquire Network will open a pop-up shop in New York on Friday. The space, dubbed Sharp: The Man Event, aims to give shoppers access to new men’s fashion brands and grooming trends. The store is open to the public May 17-18 at 82 Mercer St. in Soho. It’s the first men’s-focused pop-up for the magazine and network at a time when menswear is seeing significant growth. In addition to labels like Paul Evans and Well Bred, Allen Edmonds will host a shoe-shining station at the pop-up.
New Pair for DSW
DSW is growing again. The company will open two new stores on Thursday in Manhasset, N.Y., and Hyannis, Mass.
