Five years after debuting Aperlai, Alessandra Lanvin is ready to tackle retail.
The designer is setting up shop in Paris on Rue du Mont Thabor, already home to upscale labels such as Gianvito Rossi and trendy restaurants like Ferdi and Kinugawa.
“Our customers have been requesting a store, and it’s important for our brand image,” Lanvin said during her Paris presentation over the weekend. “I’m so excited.”
In between showing her new collection, Lanvin made trips to the nearby boutique to oversee workers who were putting the finishing touches on the space.
Now that she will have a home for the entire line, she’s expanding that, too. Spring ’15 features a larger array of classics and evening looks as well as more entry price point styles.
