Deckers Outdoor Corp.’s Teva brand has inked a licensing deal with footwear firm BBC International to distribute the label’s children’s wholesale business in the U.S.
The partnership will commence this month, with the transition expected to impact the Teva’s spring ’15 product offering.
Bob Campbell, founder and chairman of BBC, said, “We look forward to using our leading position in the children’s footwear marketplace to benefit the Teva brand.
The brand’s free-spirited and active lifestyle approach is perfect for children who by nature are curious and always on the go.”
Deckers shares were 1.5 percent, or $1.20 higher, at $79.64 in morning trading. The stock was given a boost last month after delivering a first-quarter result that beat the Street’s forecast for the period.
