Mohr and K1X Debut Newest Collaboration

German artist Patrick Mohr and basketball brand K1X are back with a fifth installment in their collaboration.
The style, Mk5, was produced in three monochromatic shoes — black, white and red with gold details inside the shoe and on the label. Mohr’s signature wood triangle on a leather patch is also included on the shoe.
“K1X and I are both from Bavaria, and it’s great that two brands from there are collaborating,” Mohr said. “Even more it’s great that we’re making shoes with such a big international hype. We never expected this.”
He added about the production process, “When you have to design a shoe, and you can only have around 5 percent to change and make your own, the 95 percent you couldn’t change, it’s a challenge. There are so many shoes on the market that people have seen everything. You need something new and unique and authentic. That is what makes the good designer from the bad designer. Whether the shoe is authentic and can make the challenge happen.”
The shoes are available this month at select stores across Europe and 424 in Los Angeles.
