Clarks Americas has tapped Geralyn Breig as president of its Americas region, effective March 17, 2014.
Breig replaces Jim Salzano, former president of Clarks Americas Inc., who left the company last August. She will report to Ken Dobinson, chief commercial officer of the Newton, Mass.-based company.
“I am excited about adding Geralyn’s unique brand and business development experience to the proven footwear expertise residing in the team at Clarks,” said Melissa Potter, chief executive of U.K.-based parent firm C&J Clark International. “It’s a powerful combination to take us on the next stage of our growth journey.”
Breig most recently served as SVP and president of North America at Avon Products Inc., where she led a recovery strategy that increased profit and reduced costs.
“I am thrilled to be joining the Clarks Americas team at such an exciting time for consumers in the Americas region and around the world,” noted Breig. “The Clarks brand represents excellence that is rooted in 189 years of heritage. I am quite proud to be part of the company’s future growth.”
