Like your socks like you like your produce?
Homegrown sock brand Farm to Feet, produced by Mt. Airy, N.C.-based Nester Hosiery Inc., will debut a collection of running socks for spring ’15.
Similar to Farm to Feet’s other offerings — for the multisport, hiking and lifestyle categories — the running product will be 100 percent sourced and manufactured in the U.S.
Materials include moisture-wicking merino wool collected from American Sheep Industry ranchers and a domestically made, friction-free nylon.
The running line consists of three styles for men and women: the Asheville and Roanoke, both in low and quarter-crew heights, and the tall Blue Ridge compression sock. All Farm to Feet socks feature a seamless toe and high-density cushioning.
Retail prices for the new collection range from $16 to $30. The line is targeted to specialty outdoor and running retailers, and will deliver to stores in mid- to late February.
To promote the line, Farm to Feet will serve as the official sock sponsor for the Blue Ridge Marathon in April 2015, and for the Outdoor Retailer trade show in August 2015.
