Footwear News Launches New Site

It’s go time.

The all-new Footwearnews.com launches on Tuesday with a dramatically expanded lineup of breaking news, must-have fashion trends, extensive celebritycoverage and an inside look at the industry’s power players.

One major goal of the site is to more effectively serve the magazine’s core footwear audience — the industry’s movers and shakers. But Footwearnews.com will also now cater to a diverse global audience with a bigg er mix of international stories, scoops and runway

For the first time, the site will target the huge group of shoe-obsessed consumers with a mix of coverage that spans athletic, high fashion and everything in between. FN’s online portal will also come to audiences with an all-new look, invigorated by a cleaner layout, more-intuitive navigation features and multimedia to take users deeper into stories.

Thanks to Footwearnews.com’s responsive design, users can easily access all these features and more on any mobile device. And best of all? All of FN’s content will be available for free. Social media will play a bigger part as well.

“The new site will be supported b y an aggressive social media push on all platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Google+,” Atmore added.

FN will continue to publish its weekly print publication in 2015.

The site will be broken down into seven key categories that highlight the top areas of coverage:

Latest: A collection of the must-read news of the day, updated regularly.

Influencers: An inside look at the people that define the industry now, from CEOs to celebrities of the moment.

Business: All the need-to-know coverage, from financial earnings and M&A deals to retail openings and media and marketing buzz.

Runway: All of the top hits and musthaves from the global catwalks, and designer presentations in New York, London, Milan, Paris and more.

FN Spy: A bigger, bolder representation of the magazine’s popular FN Spy column. Get a glimpse into the hottest parties, red-carpet action and entertainment scoops from around the world.

Focus: An in-depth examination of the key issues in top markets from athletic and men’s to women’s and comfort. This section will also feature analysis and opinion pieces.
