Holiday trend: “We always do well with Tsukihoshi sneakers, and Plae — which is new for us — is really surging. We can’t keep up with the demand on that one,” said co-owner Kay Mehrens. “Overall, we’re selling a lot of boots and we’re seeing moms take more risks with color, which is fun.”

Holiday trend: “Athletic and casual-athletic styles are still on fire. Especially as retail prices continue to increase, parents [are looking for] multi-purpose shoes for their kids that work for school, weekends and playtime,” said owner Monica DeVreese.

Holiday trend: “Here in the Pacific Northwest, Bogs boots are a must for the cold, wet [weather]. Also, Merrell’s Jungle Moc is a favorite for both everyday and holiday occasions,” said co-owner Theresa Keith.

Holiday trend: “My store is located in a very walkable neighborhood, so [customers are looking for] stylish, weatherproof boots for walking to school and to the park in cold weather,” said owner Stacey Fauci. “Bogs boots have been very hot across all sizes.”
