Atlanta de Cadenet’s Good Taste

“I knew it was an old-school classic brand, but I learned a lot speaking to Bruno Frisoni,” Atlanta de Cadenet said of footwear label Roger Vivier, which is headed up by Frisoni on the creative side. The DJ-turned-model wore the brand’s newly reissued Virgule pumps to its soirée at Paul’s Baby Grand in New York this week. And de Cadenet — daughter of The Conversation’s Amanda de Cadenet and Duran Duran’s John Taylor — appears in a new ad campaign marking the return of the comma heels. For Frisoni, the timing was en pointe to show an iconic Vivier design in a new way. “It was the right moment to break from what Vivier is for people, which is very much the buckle and a proper look. This is a little bit sexier,” he said of the lookbook, shot by buzzy young photographer Olivia Bee in Paris this spring. Here, de Cadenet shares a few of her favorite things.

Career highlight: “Working with Olivia. It’s funny because I’m normally the youngest person on the set. I got there and the photographer is this 19-year-old girl. I’m like, ‘What? Hold up!’ Suddenly I’m the ripe old age of 22. Olivia and I have a similar vibe and we just got along.”

Dream vacation: “I really want to go to Tulum in Mexico. Just to go somewhere warm with the beach would be perfect right now. I would definitely surf if I was on vacation. I’ve been so busy in the past year, it’s been hard to have more then a couple days off. Right now, I am pretty focused on work.”

Signature drink: “I drink a lot of red wine right now.”

To treat myself I … “Buy a new handbag. After doing the Forever 21 campaign, I got myself a Miu Miu one. It’s black and nothing crazy, but something I could wear every day.”

Go-to dish: “I love heathly food, so rice, a really nice fish and a beautiful salad.”
