As a model, she’s walked the runways in all sorts of strappy stilettos, but off duty she’s more likely to rock a pair of Dr. Martens. “I’ve worn Docs more than I haven’t at this point. It’s part of who I am,” said Agyness Deyn, who recently wrapped a film, “Electricity,” in which she plays the starring role. Deyn’s affinity for the tough British brand made her a natural collaborator for Dr. Martens. The label first tapped the Los Angeles-based multihyphenate last year for a design partnership encompassing shoes, accessories and apparel, and a third collection launches for spring ’14. Though Deyn’s lips were sealed on what to expect, she did reveal her favorites from the mod-inspired fall ’13 collaboration are the collared viscose Tea dress paired with the chukka-style Army Boot — at least for now. “I change my mind every day,” she admitted. The fall collection, which retails from $48 to $305, is available in stores including Urban Outfitters, Asos.com and on Dr. Martens’ e-commerce site. “I once saw a gang of girls in Manchester, England, all wearing the [Dr. Martens by Agyness Deyn] collection,” she recalled. “I loved that.”
Best city for bicycling: “London. It’s so beautiful.”
Coolest pet trick: “Bang! My dog, Sweetpea, will fall on the floor and play dead.”
Black-and-white or color fashion photos? “Color is so vibrant and alive.”
Signature dance move: “Big fish, little fish, cardboard box, of course.”
Favorite time of day: “Morning. I love the peacefulness of being up when everyone else is still asleep.”
Going out versus staying in: “I love great restaurants, but my favorite thing is staying in and watching movies.”
