Women’s Trend: Architectural Heels

Among the first pioneers of the architectural heel, Roger Vivier changed footwear the day he punctuated his heel with a novel comma, now known as the Virgule style. For spring ’14, new interpretations modernize the trend, including Robert Clergerie’s version for Sonia Rykiel, with a gilded heel evoking the work of Antoni Gaudí, and Celine’s sloped geometric wedge, which channels a Frank Gehry creation.
