Ruthie Davis is going back to her roots for resort ’14.
The sporty-chic vibe that launched her eponymous label seven years ago — complete with color-blocking and metal embellishments — has remained consistent throughout the seasons, but the latest offerings return it to the forefront.
The sandals, sneakers and heels also reflect the designer’s take on spring trends. Gladiator sandal-boots get a touch of sophistication with stiletto heels and lower shafts aimed at a more universally flattering fit, while wedge sneakers show up with streamlined shapes and neon hues.
For resort, Davis also added a new heel height to the mix — her lowest yet (save for flats and sneakers) — at 4 inches.
The styles retail for $398 to $1,028 at department stores such as Bloomingdale’s and Neiman Marcus, as well as on Amazon.com/Fashion and at several independents. The brand also has a presence in Europe, Russia, Ukraine, the Middle East and Asia.
