London Shoe of the Day: Christopher Raeburn

Inspired by his fascination with the Long Range Desert Group – a unit of the British Army during World War II- Christopher Raeburn sent models marching in layers, textures and an array of patterns on the opening day of London Fashion Week. Muted colors and camouflage notes evoked a kind of visual poetry on the runway, with the exception of a cobalt blue and blush pink look that added a touch of color. Matching ankle-strap flatforms designed by street-style inspired British brand, The Whitepepper, and customized by Raeburn mimicked the outfits they were paired with and complemented the casual-cool apparel nicely.
