Salvatore Ferragamo has had a well-chronicled love affair with Hollywood, from shoeing Sophia Loren and Marilyn Monroe to outfitting many of today’s top talents. So last week was a homecoming of sorts for the Italian luxury brand. The family-run business took to the digital screen by debuting the first installment of an eight-part short film directed by Luca Guadagnino. The light, romantic film, airing on Ferragamo.com, was followed on Thursday night by the brand’s sponsorship of the opening gala for the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills, Calif. The center also features a pop-up shop, selling exclusive Ferragamo shoes and accessories through Nov. 15.
