Trimfoot Co. is moving into the women’s market.
The Farmington, Mo.-based children’s firm has acquired Lindsay Phillips Inc., manufacturer of the SwitchFlops brand. To ensure a smooth transition, the Lindsay Phillips sales team, as well as key managers, including President Lindsay Phillips and VP of Sales Liz Phillips, will stay aboard.
Trimfoot CEO Larry Skaggs said he’s excited to add Lindsay Phillips to the firm’s growing stable of brands.
“Although Lindsay Phillips is historically an adult-footwear program, operating in a different segment of the market than our core Trimfoot [offering], we see a great compatibility between our two companies,” Skaggs said, noting Trimfoot’s expertise in the gift industry and specialty-store channel, where Lindsay Phillips has found its niche.
“It is an excellent product in both quality and design. We visualize a real broadening of Trimfoot’s market [presence] with this new addition.”
