Sam Edelman is hitting the Web.
The brand, owned by Brown Shoe Co., will launch its e-commerce site Monday. Within the website, the “Edelman Icon Shop” will showcase the latest styles, while the “Samspiration” page will provide a peek at some of the muses and design influences behind the looks.
“Adding an e-commerce element and expanding our digital presence allows our Sam girl to access the brand directly online in a whole new way,” Sam Edelman, president of his eponymous brand, said in a statement. “We know our customer loves social media, sharing what she’s doing and what she’s wearing with her friends. She lives on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, staying ahead of the trends online, and communicating directly with our girl is vital to the growth of the brand.”
The site also will feature a blog in the voice of “Sam’s Girls” (the brand’s consumers), as well as a behind-the-scene look at the most recent fall campaign featuring Kate Upton.
