Media Bank: Nike’s New Skateboarding Shoe… Sebago Cleans Up

Stop Motion
Nike SB is putting some life into its product shots. To tout the latest signature shoe for pro skater Paul Rodriguez, the Beaverton, Ore.-based brand launched online a collection of P-Rod 7-inspired GIFs of the sneakers. The animated photos not only display the new product, but also illustrate the skate shoes in action on Rodriguez’s feet. The P-Rod 7 hits retail stores in July.

Sebago is all about keeping it simple. The brand, a division of Wolverine World Wide, revealed this week its spring/summer ’14 Pure campaign, which centers around some of its most iconic styles including handsewn penny loafers, boat shoes and driving moccasins. Sebago GM Gary Malamet said the integrated marketing campaign, which encompasses digital and retail outlets, will play up the heritage angle. “With the brand momentum that we’ve been able to generate globally, we wanted to leverage our position and focus on our core, iconic product and key categories,” he said. “Pure allows us to take the best of what Sebago stands for and communicate it to the world.”
