Synclaire Brands has added another designer name to its stable.
The Hicksville, N.Y.-based footwear firm has signed a licensing agreement with Xcel Brands Inc. to produce and distribute kids’ shoes under the Isaac Mizrahi New York brand. The collection will launch at retail this fall.
“We are very excited to partner with Synclaire on this line of children’s footwear,” said Robert D’Loren, chairman and CEO of New York-based Xcel. “This additional category complements our children’s clothing collection. [We believe] the Isaac Mizrahi brand brings an exciting point of view to children’s accessories.”
Evan Cagner, president of Synclaire, said the fashion-forward collection will “capture [Mizrahi’s] iconic colorful aesthetic.” The offering will feature girls’ and boys’ styles, including boots, wedges, ballerinas and hikers. Product will begin shipping to stores in July.
Synclaire also produces children’s footwear under the Stuart Weitzman, Tommy Hilfiger, Cole Haan and Michael Michael Kors labels.
