Adidas Suspends Tyson Gay Contract

Following allegations that Olympic sprinter Tyson Gay used performance-enhancing drugs, Adidas AG on Monday said it suspended its contract with the athlete.
“We are shocked by these recent allegations, and even if we presume his innocence until proven otherwise, our contract with Tyson is currently suspended,” an Adidas spokesman said in a statement.
Gay, who has been associated with Adidas since 2005, recently failed a drug test. He maintains he was unaware that he was given banned substances.
