Armed with licensing deals, a new store and a sixth season of “Celebrity Apprentice” premiering soon, Ivanka Trump has quickly built a growing fashion and lifestyle brand. At the same time, the entrepreneur with the big family name still knows how to keep it real. “Ivanka represents the modern woman — she works hard and is glamorous,” said Brooke Jaffe, fashion accessories director at Bloomingdale’s. “She has mastered this balance that every woman strives for, and therefore everything about her [brand] is appealing.” Since launching a shoe collection with Marc Fisher Footwear two years ago, Trump has rolled out multiple product categories including apparel, handbags and eyewear. And last month, she debuted a retail concept in New York’s Soho neighborhood to house all the goods. “Our unique brand aesthetic is feminine, ladylike [style] that represents great value from business to weekend wear,” Trump said matter-of-factly. Here, she takes a break from the boardroom to talk TV, late-night snacks and how she keeps everything together on the road.
Guilty-pleasure TV: “I really like ‘Game of Thrones,’ but I think my guiltiest pleasure is ‘The Real Housewives’ (at right). I’m not discriminant against any city.”
