With 13 giant wind turbines, dozens of futuristic platforms and the fashionable workings of Karl Lagerfeld on display, the Chanel show at the Grand Palais in Paris took production value — and, well, the actual temperature — to a whole new level. The designer, who easily one-upped himself and stretched the imagination with his hula-hoop signature bag, completed the spectacle with a finale stroll on the solar panel-tiled runway.
