The Paris catwalk season kicked off with a bang Wednesday night, and Dries Van Noten won raves all around. The designer mixed plaids, florals, chiffon and velvet for a spring collection that boasted fresh thinking and couture tailoring. And the footwear did not disappoint, either. Femininity was the call of the day with a plethora of sophisticated pointy-toe pumps updated with a high vamp and mid-heel. In a graphic check and mixed plaids, this pretty pump was far more downtown cool than ladies who lunch.
