LaCrosse Footwear is going back to its roots for the fall ’12 season. The Portland, Ore.-based company, founded as a rubber mill in 1897 in LaCrosse, Wis., will debut five new boot styles with a focus on winterized rubber product. The women’s-specific rubber styles use the material layered over 4 millimeters of neoprene for added insulation in cold weather, as well as fleece linings. And some styles feature faux-fur accents. The collection will deliver in August to outdoor specialty, independent and online accounts, and will retail from $120 to $175.
