Joe’s Jeans Shoots for Three
Joe’s Jeans is tripling up in the tri-state area. The company recently bowed its third store in the region, this one in Paramus, N.J., bringing the company’s total door count to 28. The 1,500-sq.-ft. shop carries the brand’s denim and contemporary lifestyle collections for men, women and children, as well as footwear, belts and handbags. “We are excited to add another premium location in the New York tri-state area to our retail portfolio,” President and CEO Marc Crossman said in a statement. “The tri-state area has always been a great and exciting market for us, and we look forward to providing our customers with additional street and mall-based locations throughout the region.”
Toms to Bow Flagship
Toms Shoes is turning Venice, Calif.’s Abbot Kinney Boulevard into a family affair. On Dec. 15, the company will debut its first flagship store on the street, located near Aviator Nation, the store owned by Paige Mycoskie, sister of Tom’s founder Blake Mycoskie. In addition to showing off the brand’s footwear, the store also will serve as a community meeting place and feature a café, music performances, craft classes and movie screenings.
Fred Segal Makes Vegas Play
Fred Segal is headed to Sin City. Real estate developer SBE Partners and Sandow, owner of Fred Segal, have announced a partnership that will bring seven Fred Segal-branded retail shops to the SLS Las Vegas hotel. Occupying 10,000 square feet of space, the project will take up all the hotel’s retail space and is expected to launch with the hotel in 2014. “Las Vegas is a luxury retail mecca at the crossroads of the world and a key market for our expansion of the Fred Segal brand,” said Sandow Chairman and CEO Adam Sandow in a statement. “We can’t think of a better partner than SBE with whom to create this unique retail experience in Vegas.” Sandow acquired Fred Segal earlier this year.
