LONDON — Israeli designer Kobi Levi’s footwear is set to land at Selfridges’ Shoe Galleries.
A pop-up shop opened Monday, featuring 25 limited-edition styles with prices ranging from 650 pounds to 2,050 pounds, or $1,040 to $3,280 at current exchange.
“This is a dream come true for me. I invite all women to visit, feel the shoes, see how real they are and try them on. I can’t wait to hear the reactions,” said Levi.
A graduate of Bezalel Academy of Arts & Design, Levi started his career as a freelance footwear designer and now counts Lady Gaga as one of his customers (she wore his designs in her “Born This Way”).
“We’re so excited to bring Kobi Levi’s designs to a wider audience as the first U.K. stockist of the collection,” said Helen Attwood, buying manager for shoes at Selfridges. “The Shoe Galleries was designed to be a home for the most creative and pioneering talent in footwear design, and Kobi’s work is a perfect fit.”
