Bergdorf Goodman is making big moves.
The New York-based department store has hired Tracy Margolies as SVP and GMM of handbags, women’s shoes, beauty and 5F contemporary, the retailer announced Tuesday.
This marks the second Bergdorf stint for Margolies, who first came to the luxury retailer in 1996 and rose to the position of VP and DMM of 5F contemporary sportswear. Most recently, she was VP and DMM of women’s shoes at Saks Fifth Avenue, a position she held for seven years.
In her new role at Bergdorf, Margolies will report to Joshua Schulman, president of Bergdorf Goodman.
Bergdorf also announced two more senior management moves.
Elizabeth Hui von der Goltz has been promoted to SVP and GMM of fine apparel, designer sportswear, bridal, coats, lingerie, swim and jewelry. John Capizzi, previously VP and GMM of Neiman Marcus stores in Houston and Coral Gables and Palm Beach, Fla., has been hired as VP and GM of Bergdorf. Both will also report to Schulman.
“These executives … have a proven track record in luxury retailing,” Schulman said in a statement. “Tracy and Elizabeth have a perfect blend of merchandising expertise, business acumen and drive for success, while John brings a deep focus on delivering exceptional customer service and developing high performing teams.”
Meanwhile, at Saks, Dayna Ziegler has been promoted to VP and DMM of women’s shoes, replacing Margolies.
