Ugg Australia’s Social Media Blitz

Ugg Australia is forging ahead with its online marketing strategies.

The brand announced a winner this month for its ninth annual Art & Sole charitable contest. After receiving more than 900 design submissions, Buket Pamuk came out on top with her look that features puzzle pieces on the boot.

“We are inspired by Ms. Pamuk’s design and her creativity behind it,” said Leah Larson, VP and creative director for the brand. “Her vision immediately spoke to us and we are happy to make it a reality.”

The limited-edition boot created by Pamuk will be sold in Ugg retail locations as well as online this year. A portion of the proceeds from the design will go to the Boys & Girls Club of America.

Ugg also has hit 1 million Facebook fans on its page this month. So far this year, the brand featured the Art & Sole contest on its Facebook page — contestants used the site to generate votes and comments — and added an “Ugg for Men” tab to promote the men’s category.
