Inside Bridget Marquardt’s Closet

When it comes to footwear, Bridget Marquardt is a fashionable girl next door.

The former Playboy bunny and reality star is a lover of all things dainty. “My personal style is very feminine,” she said. “I love pink and girly stuff with lots of color.”

Although Marquardt has high taste when it comes to her stilettos — with luxury labels such as Prada and Christian Louboutin — she also likes mixing it up. “I don’t mind buying a shoe when there is something cool or different about it,” she said. “Whether it’s shopping at Steve Madden or getting something from Wild Pair, you never know where you’ll find something you like.”

The TV personality, who recently signed on as a spokesperson for the condom brand Durex, likes to turn shopping into quality time with her boyfriend. The couple can often be found browsing their favorite department stores in Los Angeles and Las Vegas.

“We have a great relationship because he likes to shop. In fact, I think he likes to shop more than I do,” Marquardt said. “I’m pretty quick because I can walk into a store and tell instantly if there’s something I like or if I’m just going to hit the road.”

Pairs owned:
More than 300

Brands represented: Christian Louboutin, Converse, Dolce Vita, Jimmy Choo, Prada, Reebok and Steve Madden, among others

Go-to pairs: “My black Louboutins in crepe satin that go with everything. And I have a pair of Dolce Vita slingbacks in nude. Whenever I’m in doubt, I know one of those pairs will go with my outfit.”

Most unique pairs:
Hot-pink Barbie Louboutins. “When I saw them, I said, ‘Oh, my God! I have to have these shoes, even though I don’t know what I’ll wear them with.’ I also have a maroon pair of Prada peep-toes that change color when I look at them. I love just staring at them on my feet because of the way they change colors when I move my foot around. I’ve been caught before, just staring at them.”

Favorite places to shop:
Macy’s, Barneys, Nordstrom. “I love the Nordstrom at the Topanga Mall [in Canoga Park, Calif.] because the shoe selection is incredible. All the Nordstroms have good selections, but this one is amazing. ”

Most expensive pair:
“My Louboutin knee-high boots. They were $1,600. I get a lot of use out of them. They go in the winter with a short dress or over skinny jeans, so I can wear them quite a bit. They aren’t super-comfortable, though, so I have to determine if I’m going to be doing a lot of standing.”

Best for the gym: “For working out, I have a pair of Reebok ZigTechs — the new ones that have the crazy bottoms. My boyfriend custom-made a pair for me [online]. So it’s a really cute black-and-hot-pink pair that says, ‘Honey Bee,’ on the back. I wear those for working out, and then, of course, I have Converse for everyday running around.”

Preferred looks for men:
“[My boyfriend] always wears Converse and Creative Recreation shoes. He’s very casual. He wears skinny jeans with tennis shoes and a black T-shirt. I like that look.”

Sexiest pair:
“Oh, gosh, it’s a real toss-up. Probably those hot-pink Barbie Louboutins. But it depends on my mood. It could be those black boots, too.”

Biggest shoe regret:
None. “I love all shoes. I don’t have any regrets about buying any of my shoes, other than a little bit of remorse because of the expense of some of them.”

Must-have trend right now:
“I like the sparkly look. I love bedazzling my own shoes. I totally get out all the crystals, jewels and glue and sit down to do my own custom-made shoes to go with my outfits.”

Favorite shopping cities:
“I know they have incredible shopping in New York, but I haven’t found my style there yet. I haven’t spent enough time to find those cute boutiques. So I’d definitely say Los Angeles and Las Vegas. I know those two cities really well.”
