It’s all about sneakers for Superdry USA, the Los Angeles-based division of Sunrise Brands LLC, which distributes for U.K. casual apparel brand Superdry. The company is bringing its first sneaker collection to market next month, with high- and low-top styles for men and women. The line uses bright color pops on the outsoles and classic detailing on the uppers to create what Superdry USA President Michael Martens called a “fun, unique shoe that appeals to people who are fashion forward, with a great eye and who want the most for their money.” The styles, which reference canvas, denim and marled knits on the uppers, retail for $60 for high-tops and $55 for low-top versions, Martens said. Delivering for April, the sneakers will deliver to Superdry’s locations in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and New Jersey, and possibly to the brand’s new 2,000-sq.-ft. shop in Las Vegas’ Fashion Show Mall, which opened this week. Martens said Superdry also is exploring the wholesale potential of the line, which will expand for fall ’11 with leather styles.
