Mary Janes are making a serious splash on the fall runways and Consuelo Castiglione opted for variations on the ladylike style for much of her Marni show. Color-blocked wedges with layered platforms and ankle ties complemented plaid day suits, while wooden chunky platforms with colored suede uppers were paired with pencil dresses. A neutral striped snakeskin Mary Jane added fresh grounding to a navy-and-olive flowing printed silk dress, and embellished suede platform sandals dressed up structured leather coats and boucle suits with fur toppers. Best of all, though, was this black snakeskin Mary Jane with emerald inlay, fall’s latest must-have style.
