Women’s Buzz: Terry de Havilland, Verlain

Jeanious Duo
Celebrity favorites Terry de Havilland and Paige Denim have teamed up to produce a capsule women’s shoe collection for spring ’11. Two styles are offered featuring a combination of denim and non-denim textiles. Paige Denim’s popular washes — Super Tanzania camouflage and the best-selling McKinley — cover the Lotte platform stilettos, while the Emma bootie is fashioned with denim in olive and gray. Retail price points range from $375 to $400. Launching exclusively with U.K. premium denim boutique Donna Ida, the collection will start selling this month.

Hand Made
Footwear newcomer Mark Lu has debuted a capsule collection of menswear-inspired looks for spring ’11. Named Verlain, the Los Angeles-based line features two styles — an oxford and a loafer — in calf, lambskin, crocodile, snake, hemp, denim and suede. Each handcrafted shoe is one-of-a-kind and sold in limited amounts, some with less than 10 pairs. Retailing from $350 to $390, the shoes will be available at Cube in Los Angeles, Rush in Las Vegas, New York’s Oak, Original in Toronto and on Verlainusa.com.
