Nine West is ready for winter. For fall ’11, the brand will launch 9 Degrees, a cold-weather collection featuring footwear, handbags, hats and scarves. Tapping into the après ski trend, the 20-style line includes track-soled boots and wedges, outerwear and accessories detailed in down, faux fur and wool. Footwear is set to retail for $139 to $199, while hats, gloves and scarves are priced between $32 and $68. Outerwear will retail for $150 to $220. The line will be sold at select Nine West retail doors, department stores and independent retailers.
Valencia, Spain-based Lola Cruz is getting a little sister. The women’s brand will launch diffusion line Bibi Lou this fall with 135 styles of boots, flats, pumps, booties, wedges and sandals. The collection will employ materials including leather, suede, tweed and satin in neutral tones such as gray, taupe, dark blue, olive green, wine and camel. Set to retail for $80 to $240, the line is targeted to urban retailers.
To build on its success in the sandal market, Jack Rogers will get its feet wet this fall. The brand, which last year branched beyond its classic Navajo sandal into a fuller footwear line, will add one rainboot style for summer delivery. The all-rubber tall boot can be pulled on and also features a side zipper detailed with the brand’s signature whip-stitch rondell. Priced at $98, the boot will be offered in orange, red, navy, black and pale gold.
After taking a two-year hiatus, Brazilian brand Morenatom will relaunch this fall. Drawing inspiration from Brazil’s sunny weather, music and people, the line features 10 styles of boots, booties and oxfords with a vintage aesthetic. Materials include spotted suede, distressed calfskin and upholstery fabrics, and frayed linings create a worn-in look. Priced from $180 to $330, the collection is targeted to high-end independent retailers and specialty stores, and is set for an August delivery.
Frye Boot just got a bit bigger. The brand will offer a collection of small accessories to coincide with the opening of its first store in Soho this August. The line includes belts, cuffs, bracelets, wallets and small leather gifts, outfitted with Frye’s signature hardware, detailing and hand finishing. The accessories are priced between $48 and $298 and will be sold through department stores, boutiques and online retailers already carrying its shoes. Several limited-edition pieces will be available exclusively at the Frye store and online.
Ronan, created by the founders of Rock & Republic, is delivering a footwear line based on wearability, versatility and architecture for the fall season. The collection consists of 35 styles of pumps, boots, wedges, flats, clogs, booties, kitten heels and sandals. The shoes, which feature snakeskin, pony hair, rabbit fur and tweed, will retail for $195 to $495. Ronan also includes women’s and men’s denim and sportswear, and is targeted to high-end department stores and e-tailers, such as Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue and Shopbop.com.
