Soles4Souls Pledges Shoes to New Zealand Earthquake Victims

Soles4Souls has committed to giving 50,000 pairs of new shoes to the victims of the Feb. 22 earthquake in Christchurch, New Zealand.

“We are deeply saddened by the events in Christchurch and are hoping our resources will help assist those who lost everything,” said Wayne Elsey, founder and CEO of Soles4Souls. “In the wake of a natural disaster, shoes are of paramount importance to protect those affected from the abundance of broken glass and twisted metal.”

In partnership with the Nashville, Tenn.-based shoe charity’s partners in Australia, Soles4Souls will continue to monitor the situation in the weeks to come, and will provide more aid as needed.
